Jamie Lee Curtis tried to hold back tears as she recounted the details of the Los Angeles wildfire disaster that left many people losing their properties and homes.
On The Tonight Show, Jamie Lee Curtis sat down to talk about her terrifying experience escaping the recent wildfires in Los Angeles (USA). Before telling the story, the actress appeared extremely panicked and scared, trying to hold back tears.
“As you know, where I live is literally on fire. The whole city of Pacific Palisades is on fire,” the Freaky Friday star recounted. “It’s horrible, it’s a real disaster in Southern California. There are terrible fires going on everywhere. A lot of my friends have lost their homes, it’s a terrible situation.”
Like her friends, Jamie determined that her family’s Los Angeles home was on fire and beyond repair. However, the 66-year-old star tried to reassure family and friends that the most important thing was that everyone was safe.
“My community is on fire. A lot of my friends lost their homes and other communities did too. But my family is safe,” the actress reassured herself before giving advice, “Take care of each other, stay away from the fires and let the firefighters do their job. Pray for everyone.”
The Emmy winner was among tens of thousands of people forced to flee their homes and escape the dangerous blaze, which has left dozens of celebrity homes in the area completely destroyed, leaving behind extensive damage.
