NASCAR NEWS!! Kyle Busch and Joey Logano ANGRYLY reject the NASCAR director’s proposal and make a statement about the suggestion, gaining support from many.

Kyle Busch and Joey Logano have both given their opinion on a proposed idea to change the way races end after crashes.

Larry McReynolds, former NASCAR crew chief turned FOX Sports analyst, has called for rule changes to the way races are finished after a crash or shunt late on. It comes amid controversy surrounding how races finish.

Currently, races can end due to a shunt if there’s one serious enough, or if there’s a crash bad enough to risk driver safety. However, McReynolds thinks that has to change.

Speaking to SiriusXM’s On Track podcast, McReynolds said: “The only flag that can end the race is a chequered flag waving,” calling for races to continue regardless of crashes until the chequered flag is waved.

But those comments haven’t gone down too well with drivers currently on the grid. Richard Childress driver Kyle Busch tore into the decision and hit out at McReynolds specifically.

“Well, he’s not a driver, and he’s never been in a race car and been T-boned or hit a wall at 180 mph,” Busch said. “So he has no say… Racing to the checkered flag would be pure entertainment and not safety to I disagree with that.”

Tyler Reddick, too, took issue with the idea of races continuing despite dramatic crashes. He explained that it would be unsafe for drivers to have to have to worry about other cars on the track if they’ve been involved in a wreck.

He said: “You never want to be in a situation where you’re sliding across the track backwards, upside down, in the fence, and cars around you are not slowing down for the wreck.”

Joey Logano’s take on the matter was much more blunt, as he simply replied: “It’s easy to say when you’re not sitting in the race car.”

Busch and Logano have already been involved in some serious wrecks so far this season. Back at the Daytona 500, Logano pulled an aggressive move and tried to get past Ricky Stenhouse Jr, only to fail to do so.

That move sparked a chain reaction which damaged Busch’s car, with the Spire Motorsports driver failing to finish as a result.
