๐Ÿ›‘ Yamaha Boss responded to claims that Gigi Dall’igna is ‘ruining MotoGP’ by Recruiting Marc Marquez to Lenovo for 2025

In a move that left MotoGP fans scratching their heads and rolling their eyes in unison, Yamaha’s top brass has hit back at recent criticisms of Ducati’s mastermind, Gigi Dall’Igna, with an unexpected masterstroke: they’ve decided to help him.

Lin Jarvis, Yamaha’s ever-optimistic team boss, announced with a straight face this week that the best way to counter Ducati’s alleged monopoly on the grid is… to send Marc Marquez to Lenovo Ducati in 2025. That’s right—what better way to stop the dominance of red than by delivering arguably the greatest rider of all time directly to their doorstep? Genius.

When questioned about this baffling strategy, Jarvis smirked, “If people think Gigi is ruining MotoGP, who am I to stand in his way? Clearly, the man is on a mission, and we at Yamaha believe in supporting talent wherever it lies—even if it means bolstering our competitors’ roster. Besides, we need someone to keep him on his toes.”

Marquez, who is currently enduring a rough patch in his career, reportedly laughed for five full minutes when the idea was first pitched to him. “I thought it was a prank,” he said. “But then they showed me the contract, and, well, Ducati is winning everything right now. At least I won’t have to fight them on a Yamaha anymore.”

Meanwhile, Dall’Igna—who some fans have accused of turning MotoGP into “DucatiGP” with his technical brilliance—was uncharacteristically speechless when asked for his reaction. Sources close to the Ducati boss claim he was last seen chuckling into his espresso while sketching an even faster aero package on a napkin.

Critics of the move have pointed out the obvious flaw in Yamaha’s logic. “So, their plan to challenge Ducati is… to weaken their own team while making Ducati even stronger?” one MotoGP analyst mused. “What’s next, sending Fabio Quartararo to Pramac for ‘development purposes’?”

Fans on social media were equally divided. Some praised Yamaha for their commitment to the chaos, with one user quipping, “Yamaha’s 4D chess game is unmatched—who needs wins when you have plot twists?” Others, however, were less forgiving, labeling the decision as “the final nail in Yamaha’s coffin” and “the MotoGP equivalent of shooting yourself in both feet, then asking if you can borrow someone else’s crutches.”

As for MotoGP itself, Carmelo Ezpeleta, Dorna’s CEO, seemed to welcome the drama. “This is exactly the kind of entertainment we need,” he declared. “Who cares about racing parity when we can have Shakespearean levels of betrayal on the paddock?”

With 2025 still a year away, it remains to be seen whether Yamaha’s bold strategy will pay off—or if it’s just another chapter in their baffling decline. But one thing’s for sure: the MotoGP circus just got a whole lot more entertaining.
