As of my last update in January 2022, Stephen Curry has consistently been one of the most prolific three-point shooters in NBA history. However, reaching 4,000 made threes in a single season would be an extraordinary feat, considering the NBA record for most threes made in a single season is held by Curry himself at 402 threes during the 2015-2016 season.

To reach 4,000 made threes in a single season, Curry would need to average an unprecedented number of made threes per game. For context, during his record-setting 2015-2016 season, Curry averaged about 5.1 made threes per game.

Assuming an 82-game regular season (which is the standard length of an NBA season), Curry would need to average approximately 48.8 made threes per game to reach 4,000 threes in a single season. This is obviously far beyond any realistic expectation given the current state of the game and Curry’s historical averages.

While Curry’s shooting prowess is undeniable, achieving 4,000 made threes in a single season is simply not feasible under current NBA conditions.
