Ryan Garcia Continues To Double Down On His Innocence And Fans Are Tired Of Hearing It And Call Stop

Ryan Garcia continues to double down on his innocence and fans are tired of hearing it and call STOP

In June, Garcia was suspended for one year by the New York State Athletic Commission following his positive tests for the performance-enhancing drug ostarine. The suspension is retroactive to April 20, the night he defeated Devin Haney via majority decision at the Barclays Center in NYC.

The result has since been ruled a no contest and Garcia was forced to forfeit his $1.2 million purse and was fined $10,000 by the commission.

In the months since, ‘King Ryan’ has defended himself relentlessly, suggesting that the banned substance in his system was the result of a tainted supplement—among other things.

Recently, Garcia took to social media to debunk rumors that he had finally pleaded guilty to the accusations.

“Why is it circling around now that I plead guilty to PED’s,” Garcia wrote on X. “I let the NYSAC make the decision they wanted to do which was a one year suspension. Bc I was advised that even if this was taken to court no matter what the court decided the NYSAC will still do whatever they wanted to me I never took steroids.”

Garcia won’t be eligible to return to the ring until April 20, 2025. However, rumors began circulating that ‘King Ryan’ could travel to Japan for a bout with legendary pugilist Manny Pacquiao. The Sun reported earlier this month that RIZIN FF—the promotion that recently hosted Pacquiao’s return to the ring in July—has initiated talks with Garcia.
