“HE WILL BE DEFEATED BY ME” Oleksandr Usyk Ready for Potential UFC Showdown, Challenges Conor McGregor

Oleksandr Usyk Calls Out Conor McGregor for Potential Crossover Fight

The undisputed heavyweight champion boxer, Oleksandr Usyk, might be gearing up for a crossover that fans aren’t quite ready for. The Ukrainian fighter recently called out UFC’s biggest superstar, Conor McGregor, challenging him to a fight.

In an exclusive interview with Boxing King Media, Usyk was asked what his plans would be if he defeats his rival Tyson Fury in their upcoming rematch in December. Usyk didn’t hesitate to express his willingness to step into the UFC octagon to take on the Irishman.

“Why not? [Conor] McGregor, come on…I’m ready to fight,” Usyk stated, showcasing his eagerness to embrace a new challenge.

This potential matchup is intriguing, despite the significant weight difference, with Usyk outweighing McGregor by 40 to 50 pounds. A fight between Usyk, a Soviet southpaw, and McGregor, known for his wide stance, is a dream match for fans if they can find common ground in weight. The bout would be a strategic battle, as both fighters are renowned for their counter-punching skills and long-range attacks.

As for McGregor, he has shown a willingness to take on any opponent if the price is right. With the two-weight boxing champion Usyk expressing interest, Usyk vs. Conor could become the next big spectacle since McGregor’s fight against Floyd Mayweather.

However, amidst all this excitement, Usyk also has to address his mother’s concerns. The former cruiserweight champion’s mother has urged him to retire after his historic victory over Tyson Fury earlier this year, which made him the first undisputed heavyweight champion in boxing since Lennox Lewis.

Despite his mother’s wishes, Usyk has no plans to retire anytime soon. The rematch clause with Fury means Usyk will be preparing for their next bout on December 21st to defend his title. If he wins the rematch, he will have to decide on his next steps.

When asked about exploring other combat sports like bare-knuckle boxing, Usyk responded, “Why not?” indicating his openness to new challenges in the fighting world.

As Usyk prepares for his rematch with Fury, the possibility of a future bout with McGregor adds another layer of excitement to his career. Fans will be eagerly watching to see if this crossover fight becomes a reality.
